Sigeumchi namul (시금치나물) is a simple spinach-based Korean side dish (banchan). Namul is a generic word for a seasoned vegetable meal, while sigeumchi is Korean for spinach. In Korea, there are an endless variety of veggies used to create nauml meals. One of the most prevalent is spinach. On traditional festivals, it is usually served as part of the three-color vegetable dishes (samsaek namul). Sigeumchi namul is also popular in bibimbap.
