For the sauce: shallots, tamarind paste, palm sugar, garlic, fish sauce.

For the pad thai: Shallots and garlic (omit if making bulk sauce in advance), dried shrimp, pressed tofu, sweet preserved radish, chili flakes (not pictured), eggs, roasted peanuts, rice noodles (medium), bean sprouts, garlic chives.

Noodle: dry rice noodles, size medium.
