Taken from a local chef in Toronto. You can get preserved tamarinds at a Chinese supermarket for a buck.

28 gms of pad thai rice noodles
1/4 cup of tamarind paste
1/3 cup of boiling water
1/4 cup of ketchup
2 Lime, Juiced
3 tbsp of soy sauce
1 tbsp of white sugar
1 tbsp of chili paste (sambal oelek)
1/4 cup of vegetable oil
1/2 lbs of firm tofu, drained and cubed
5 cloves garlic, minced
4 eggs, beaten
3 cup of bean sprouts
1/2 cup of coarsely ground peanuts
5 green onions, thinly sliced
