Fried octopus

We take a fresh or defrosted octopus, wash it thoroughly and carefully beat it with a hammer for schnitzels for 5 minutes. During this time, you will have time to warm up the pan, into which one tablespoon of olive oil was poured. as soon as the pan is hot, put the octopus on it, whole, if yours is medium in size, up to 15 cm. Press down with a fork to the pan and hold it like that for 3 minutes. Turn over and press down with a fork again for 3 minutes. If you think that your octopus is not yet ready, you can cover with a lid for 2 minutes. That's it, your octopus is ready. Sprinkle it with fresh lemon juice, salt and sprinkle with Italian herbs.
