Ingredients

  • rolled oats - 1.0 cup
  • water or milk (dairy or non-dairy) - 2.0 cup
  • fresh or frozen blueberries - 1.0 cup
  • almonds, sliced and toasted - 0.3 cup
  • honey or maple syrup (optional) - 2.0 tbsp
  • ground cinnamon - 0.5 tsp
  • salt - 0.3 tsp
  • almond extract (optional) - 0.5 tsp
  • Fresh blueberries and extra toasted almonds for garnish (optional) - 1.0 to taste

Cooking Steps

Step 1

In a small skillet over medium heat, toast the sliced almonds until they become fragrant and lightly golden. Stir frequently to avoid burning. Remove from heat and set aside.
