Ingredients

  • unsalted butter - 113.4 g
  • granulated sugar - 0.5 cup
  • brown sugar - 0.5 cup
  • large egg - 1.0 whole
  • pure vanilla extract - 1.0 tsp
  • all-purpose flour - 1.0 cup
  • rolled oats - 1.0 cup
  • baking soda - 0.5 tsp
  • salt - 0.5 tsp
  • chocolate chips - 1.0 cup

Cooking Steps

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350 F (175 C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Step 3

Beat in the egg and stir in the pure vanilla extract.

Step 4

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, rolled oats, baking soda, and salt.

Step 5

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Step 6

Gently fold in the chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough.

Step 7

Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving enough space between each cookie for spreading.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges of the cookies are golden brown and the centers are set.

Step 9

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely. Once cooled, enjoy the chocolatey goodness of your Chocolate Chip Oat Cookies.
