Wash and dry the strawberries thoroughly.
In a small saucepan, melt the chocolate chips and vegetable oil over low heat, stirring constantly.
Once the chocolate is completely melted and smooth, remove from heat.
Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, making sure to cover the entire strawberry.
Place the strawberries onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and allow to cool.
If desired, add toppings while the chocolate is still warm.
Allow the chocolate to set completely before serving.
