Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
In three separate shallow dishes, place flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs, pressing to adhere.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown. They don't need to be cooked through at this point.
Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Top each with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the chicken is cooked through.
Let the Chicken Parmesan rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil, if desired.
