Ingredients

  • pizza dough - 1.0 lb
  • pizza sauce - 0.5 cup
  • shredded mozzarella cheese - 1.5 cup
  • sliced pepperoni - 0.5 cup
  • olive oil - 1.0 tbsp
  • dried oregano - 1.0 tsp
  • garlic powder - 0.5 tsp
  • salt - 1.0 pinch
  • black pepper - 1.0 pinch
  • red pepper flakes - 1.0 to taste

Cooking Steps

Step 1

Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on your pizza dough packaging (usually around 450F or 230C).

Step 2

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle. Transfer the dough to a pizza stone, baking sheet, or pizza pan.

Step 3

Brush the surface of the dough with olive oil, ensuring an even coating.

Step 4

Spread the pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.

Step 5

Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.

Step 6

Arrange the pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese.

Step 7

Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the pepperoni.

Step 8

Combine dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Sprinkle this seasoning mixture over the cheese.

Step 9

Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake according to the dough package instructions or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 10

Once cooked, carefully remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute before slicing.

Step 11

Slice the pizza into 8 wedges and serve hot. If desired, sprinkle red pepper flakes over the slices for an extra kick.
