20 Servings

Cooking Steps

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine the rice flour, gram flour, melted butter, cumin seeds, sesame seeds, red chili powder, and salt.

Step 2

Gradually add water to the mixture and knead it into a smooth and soft dough.

Step 3

Heat oil for deep-frying in a pan on medium heat.

Step 4

Meanwhile, fill the dough into a Chakli maker or a piping bag with a star nozzle.

Step 5

Press the dough out into spiral shapes onto a greased plate or a butter paper.

Step 6

Once the oil is hot, carefully add the Chaklis to the oil and fry until they turn golden brown on both sides.

Step 7

Remove the Chaklis from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel to remove any excess oil.

Step 8

Let the Chaklis cool down completely before storing them in an airtight container.
