In a bowl, combine olive oil, berbere spice, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, minced garlic, grated ginger, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create the marinade.
Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels.
Place the fish fillets in a shallow dish and coat them evenly with the prepared marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
Heat a skillet or pan over medium-high heat.
Add the marinated fish fillets to the hot skillet, cooking for approximately 3-4 minutes per side or until the fish is cooked through and easily flakes with a fork.
Baste the fish with any remaining marinade during cooking for added flavor.
Once the fish is cooked, remove it from the skillet and place it on a serving platter.
Garnish the Samak Tibs with fresh cilantro or parsley.
