Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
While the grill is heating, prepare the meat patties. Take the ground beef and gently form it into a patty, ensuring it is slightly larger than the hamburger bun, as it will shrink during grilling.
Season the patty with salt and pepper on both sides.
Place the patty on the preheated grill and cook for about 4-6 minutes on each side, or until the desired level of doneness is achieved. For medium-rare, cook about 4 minutes on each side; for medium, cook about 5 minutes on each side; and for well-done, cook about 6 minutes on each side.
In the last minute of grilling, add a slice of cheese on top of the patty to melt.
While the patty is cooking, lightly toast the hamburger bun on the grill until it becomes slightly golden.
Remove the grilled patty from the grill and let it rest for a minute.
Assemble the burger by placing the patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of the toasted bun.
Top the patty with lettuce leaves, sliced tomato, sliced onion, and pickles.
Add your preferred condiments on top of the toppings.
Close the burger with the other half of the bun.
Serve the Grilled Burger immediately and enjoy the delicious blend of flavors!
