Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat.
Butter one side of each bread slice.
Place 2 slices of bread butter side down on the pan or griddle.
Add a slice of cheese on each slice of bread and top with a chicken patty, avocado, and tomato slices.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
Add another slice of cheese on top of the vegetables.
Place the remaining slices of bread on top of the cheese, butter side up.
Cook the sandwich until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Remove from the pan or griddle and cut in half.
Serve the grilled chicken and cheese sandwich with avocado and tomato slices and enjoy!
