Ingredients

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni - 5.1 pcs
  • 1/2 cup butter, divided - 1.6 quarter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour - 7.4 can
  • 3 cups milk - 10.5 gal
  • 1 cup heavy cream - 7.4 qt
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese - 2.2 jar
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese - 4.0 qt
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese - 9.8 drop
  • Salt and pepper to taste - 8.8 box
  • Pinch of nutmeg - 10.3 bag

Cooking Steps

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Step 3

Gradually whisk in milk and cream until smooth. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 4

Remove from heat and stir in Gruyere, cheddar, and Parmesan cheeses until melted and smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.

Step 5

In a separate skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add lobster meat and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until heated through.

Step 6

Combine cooked pasta and cheese sauce in a large bowl. Gently fold in lobster meat.

Step 7

Pour mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle with toasted breadcrumbs and drizzle with truffle oil (optional).

Step 8

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
