Cooking Steps

Step 1

Clean the pork belly thoroughly, ensuring its free of any residual hairs. Rinse it under cold water and pat it dry. \nGenerously rub the pork belly with salt, paying special attention to the rind to ensure it crisps beautifully during cooking.

Step 2

Apply your favorite pork spices liberally over the pork belly, ensuring that it is well-coated and infused with flavor.

Step 3

Wrap the seasoned pork belly tightly in cling film or place it in a sealed container. \nAllow it to marinate overnight in the refrigerator, letting the spices permeate the meat for enhanced flavor.

Step 4

Remove the pork belly from the refrigerator, allowing it to adjust to room temperature over approximately 30 minutes. \nCarefully score the rind in a cross-hatch pattern, ensuring not to cut too deeply into the meat.

Step 5

Wrap the pork belly securely in aluminum foil, ensuring all sides, including the rind, are well covered. Add 2 cups of water. \nSet the Ninja Foodi to 'Pressure Cook', selecting high pressure. \nSecure the lid, set the valve to 'seal', and cook for 35 minutes.

Step 6

After the cooking time is completed, perform a quick release by turning the valve to 'vent', releasing all the steam before opening the lid.

Step 7

Unwrap the pork belly, exposing the rind. \nSet the Ninja Foodi to 'Steam Air Fry', adjusting the temperature to 200C (392F). \nCook for about 15 minutes or until the rind is crispy and has a rich golden-brown color.

Step 8

Allow the pork belly to rest for a few minutes before slicing, enabling the juices to redistribute throughout the meat. \nSlice into your preferred thickness, serve on a warm plate, and savor the delicious, succulent flavors of your perfectly cooked pork belly.
