Ingredients

  • unsalted butter - 1.0 cup
  • granulated sugar - 1.5 cup
  • large eggs - 2.0 pcs
  • vanilla extract - 1.0 tsp
  • all-purpose flour - 2.8 cup
  • cream of tartar - 1.5 tsp
  • baking soda - 0.5 tsp
  • salt - 0.3 tsp
  • granulated sugar - 0.3 cup
  • ground cinnamon - 1.0 tbsp

Cooking Steps

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 F (175 C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 3

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and stir in vanilla extract.

Step 4

In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.

Step 5

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.

Step 6

In a small bowl, combine the sugar and ground cinnamon for the coating.

Step 7

Shape the dough into tablespoon-sized balls and roll each ball in the cinnamon sugar mixture.

Step 8

Place the coated dough balls on the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each.

Step 9

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft.

Step 10

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
