Ingredients

  • pre-made pie crust - 1.0 whole
  • grated Swedish cheese (such as Vsterbotten or Prstost) - 200.0 g
  • eggs - 4.0 whole
  • heavy cream - 200.0 ml
  • Dijon mustard - 1.0 tsp
  • dried thyme - 0.5 tsp
  • Salt - 1.0 to taste
  • pepper - 1.0 to taste
  • Fresh parsley - 1.0 to taste

Cooking Steps

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180C (350F).

Step 2

Roll out the pie crust and carefully line a greased pie dish with it. Trim any excess crust hanging over the edges.

Step 3

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, Dijon mustard, dried thyme, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Step 4

Sprinkle half of the grated cheese over the pie crust, spreading it evenly.

Step 5

Pour the egg mixture over the cheese, ensuring it fills the pie crust.

Step 6

Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top of the egg mixture.

Step 7

Bake the pie in the preheated oven for approximately 35-40 minutes or until the crust is golden and the filling is set.

Step 8

Once done, remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.

Step 9

Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
