Ingredients

  • white or whole wheat bread - 11.0 pcs
  • cooked shrimp - 300.0 g
  • cream cheese - 150.0 g
  • mayonnaise - 150.0 g
  • Dijon mustard - 1.0 tbsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • pepper - to taste
  • cucumber - 1.0 whole
  • cherry tomatoes - 5.0 whole

Cooking Steps

Step 1

In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste. This will be the creamy spread for the layers.

Step 2

Trim the crusts off the bread slices to form even rectangles.

Step 3

Place a layer of bread slices on a serving platter or cake stand, covering the entire surface.

Step 4

Spread a generous layer of the creamy mixture over the bread.

Step 5

Add a layer of shrimp on top of the creamy mixture.

Step 6

Repeat the layers of bread, creamy mixture, and shrimp until you have used all the ingredients, ending with a layer of bread on top.

Step 7

Spread the remaining creamy mixture over the top and sides of the cake, creating a smooth finish.

Step 8

Decorate the cake with cucumber slices, cherry tomatoes, and dill sprigs. Be creative with the design!

Step 9

Refrigerate the cake for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.

Step 10

Slice the smrgstrta and serve it as an impressive appetizer or main dish at your gathering.
