Place the diced sweet potatoes in a steamer basket over a pot of water.
Steam the sweet potatoes for approximately 15-20 minutes or until they are tender and easily pierced with a fork.
Once steamed, transfer the sweet potatoes to a bowl.
Use a fork or potato masher to mash the sweet potatoes until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency.
Allow the sweet potato mash to cool to a baby-friendly temperature before serving.
Serve a small spoonful to your baby and observe their reaction. Introduce new foods one at a time and monitor for any signs of allergies.
Store any remaining sweet potato mash in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can also freeze portions in ice cube trays for longer storage.
