Preheat your oven to the temperature recommended on the pizza dough packaging (usually around 450 F or 232 C).
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. Place it on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.
Sprinkle a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
In a skillet, heat one tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and saut until they release their moisture and turn golden brown. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Remove from heat.
Spread the saut ed mushrooms evenly over the cheese.
Scatter the sliced bell peppers and red onion over the mushrooms.
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the veggies.
Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the pizza.
Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake according to the pizza dough instructions, usually 15-18 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and immediately scatter fresh basil leaves and black olive slices over the top.
Let the pizza cool slightly before slicing.
