Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.
Prepare chicken: Place chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound to 1/2-inch thickness. Season with salt and pepper.
Set up breading station: In three separate shallow dishes, place flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
Bread chicken: Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat with breadcrumb mixture. Ensure chicken is fully coated.
Pan-fry chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove from skillet and place on the prepared baking sheet.
Top and bake: Spread marinara sauce over each chicken breast and top with mozzarella cheese. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve: Garnish with fresh basil (optional). Serve hot with spaghetti or your favorite pasta.
I had some issues with the recipe. The chicken was a little tough. The sauce was a bit too tangy for my taste.
This is a winner! The combination of the crispy chicken, the flavorful sauce, and the melted cheese is just perfect. Highly recommend!
The dish was decent, but I think the chicken could have been a little crispier. Maybe a higher temperature in the oven would help.
This recipe is a keeper! Easy to follow and the outcome is fantastic. My kids, who are notoriously picky, devoured it. Thank you!
A simple and straightforward recipe. The chicken was cooked well. However, the sauce could be richer.
