In a large bowl, combine the lamb cubes with cumin, ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
Heat olive oil in a large tagine or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Brown the lamb cubes in batches, then set aside.
Add the sliced onion to the tagine and cook until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes.
Return the lamb to the tagine. Add the chicken broth, honey, and apricots. Bring to a simmer.
Cover the tagine and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the lamb is tender.
Stir in the chopped cilantro and almonds. Serve hot with couscous or crusty bread.
Garnish with extra cilantro and almonds before serving.
Excellent! The tagine was easy to make, and the results were fantastic. I've made it several times already, and it's always a hit!
Very flavorful and aromatic. I loved the sweetness of the apricots and the blend of spices. It's a hearty and comforting dish, ideal for a chilly evening. I added some toasted almonds for extra texture.
It was good. The lamb was a little tough, even though I cooked it for a while. The flavors were there, though. Maybe my lamb wasn't the best quality.
A very satisfying dish. The spices were fragrant, and the apricots were delicious. I added a pinch of saffron for an extra layer of flavor.
Excellent! The sauce was rich and flavorful. I used dried apricots, and they worked perfectly. I might try using some fresh herbs next time to enhance the freshness.
