Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken - 1.3 can
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil - 3.0 half
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced - 4.8 cup
  • 2-3 Thai chilies, chopped (adjust to taste) - 8.8 inch
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce - 3.4 pt
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce - 6.9 to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce - 8.5 ml
  • 1 tablespoon sugar - 8.0 cup
  • 2 tablespoons water - 1.5 quarter
  • 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves - 5.9 can

Cooking Steps

Step 1

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and water. Set aside.

Step 2

Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and chopped chilies. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 3

Add ground chicken to the skillet and break it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 4

Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and stir well to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.

Step 5

Add the fresh Thai basil leaves to the skillet and stir until wilted, about 1 minute.

Step 6

Remove from heat and serve immediately over rice. Garnish with a fried egg (optional).
