Marinate the chicken pieces with ginger-garlic paste, yogurt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Let it marinate for at least 2 hours.
Soak basmati rice in water for 30 minutes. Drain the water and set aside.
In a large pot, heat ghee or oil. Add sliced onions and fry until golden brown. Remove half of the fried onions and set aside for garnish.
Add marinated chicken to the pot and cook until it's partially done.
Layer the rice over the chicken. Add saffron soaked in milk, chopped cilantro, mint leaves, and the remaining fried onions.
Cover the pot tightly with a lid or aluminum foil. Cook on low heat for 45 minutes, or until the rice is fully cooked and the chicken is tender.
Gently fluff the biryani with a fork and serve hot. Garnish with extra cilantro and fried onions.
Absolutely delicious! The chicken was so tender, and the rice was perfectly fluffy. The blend of spices was incredible. My family devoured this, and I will definitely be making it again. Highly recommend!
I was disappointed with this recipe. The rice was mushy, and the chicken was bland. I followed the instructions carefully, but the result wasn't what I expected. I might have done something wrong.
The best biryani I've ever made! The depth of flavor is amazing, and the chicken just melts in your mouth. Follow the recipe exactly, and you won't be disappointed. A definite keeper!
Terrible. The dish was completely overcooked and burnt. I think the recipe needs a lot more detail, especially regarding cooking times and temperatures. A complete waste of ingredients.
Wow! This biryani is restaurant quality. The aroma while it was cooking was amazing, and the taste was even better. The balance of spices and the tenderness of the chicken are perfect. A true culinary masterpiece!
