Brew strong coffee and let it cool. Mix with coffee liqueur or rum (optional).
In a bowl, whisk together mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
In a serving dish, layer the soaked ladyfingers to cover the bottom.
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.
Repeat layers: soaked ladyfingers, then the remaining mascarpone mixture.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
Before serving, dust generously with cocoa powder.
It was okay, the coffee flavor wasn't as strong as I'd have liked it to be. The instructions were easy to follow though.
Good recipe overall. I might add a bit more sugar to the coffee mixture next time, but it's really a very satisfying dessert. I would make it again.
I followed the recipe, but it didn't turn out as expected. The ladyfingers were soggy, and the cream wasn't as firm as I'd have liked. I think I'll try a different recipe next time.
Unfortunately, my tiramisu didn't turn out well. The cream was too runny. I might have done something wrong, but I'm not sure what. Disappointed.
This tiramisu is fantastic! It's the perfect dessert for any occasion. The textures and flavors are so well-balanced. I make this recipe all the time.
