Brew strong coffee and let it cool. Mix with coffee liqueur or rum (optional).
In a bowl, whisk together mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
In a serving dish, layer the soaked ladyfingers to cover the bottom.
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.
Repeat layers: soaked ladyfingers, then the remaining mascarpone mixture.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
Before serving, dust generously with cocoa powder.
Easy to follow instructions and the end result was yummy. I like that this recipe doesn't require any baking! The cocoa powder on top made it look beautiful.
A very good tiramisu. I followed the recipe as closely as I could, and it turned out great. I might add a little more coffee next time, as I like a stronger coffee flavor. Overall, a delicious dessert.
Really enjoyed this tiramisu. The ladyfingers absorbed the coffee beautifully. It was a hit at my dinner party! Will definitely make it again.
