Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts - 3.6 lb
  • Salt and pepper to taste - 6.3 as needed
  • 1 teaspoon paprika - 1.5 dash
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil - 4.4 cm
  • 2 tablespoons butter - 7.1 qt
  • 8 ounces sliced mushrooms - 7.0 fl oz
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced - 3.4 bottle
  • 1 cup chicken broth - 10.3 package
  • 1/2 cup crème fraîche - 5.5 fl oz
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard - 6.8 l

Cooking Steps

Step 1

In a large bowl, season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.

Step 2

Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3

Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until softened and lightly browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 4

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

Step 5

Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.

Step 6

Reduce the heat to low and stir in the crème fraîche and Dijon mustard. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 7

Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for 10-15 minutes, or until cooked through.

Step 8

Serve the Chicken Stroganoff over a bed of cooked egg noodles. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.

Excellent! This is a restaurant-quality dish that's easy to make at home. The creamy sauce and tender chicken are a winning combination. I loved it!

A very satisfying meal. The mushrooms added a lovely earthy flavor, and the crème fraîche gave the sauce a wonderful creaminess. I used a little less salt, as it was a bit too salty for my taste.

This recipe is a keeper. The mushrooms were perfect, and the crème fraîche made all the difference. I might add a touch of paprika next time for a little extra depth of flavor.

It was alright. Nothing special, but not bad either. The sauce was a little too thick for my liking. I would probably try another recipe next time.
