Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch.
In a shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
In another shallow dish, whisk eggs. Dredge each chicken breast in the eggs, then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown. They don't need to be cooked through at this point.
Transfer chicken breasts to the prepared baking sheet. Top each with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and additional Parmesan cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly and chicken is cooked through.
Let rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil, if desired.
The recipe was pretty good. The chicken could have used more seasoning, and the breading wasn't as crispy as I would have liked. The sauce was delicious, however.
It was alright. Nothing special, but it was edible. I think the sauce could use more herbs. The cheese was good, though.
Absolutely delicious! The chicken was perfectly cooked and the breading was so crispy. The marinara sauce was rich and flavorful. My family loved it, and it's now a new favorite!
Best chicken parmesan I've ever made! The breading was perfectly crispy, and the chicken was so tender. The sauce was delicious. This is a keeper!
A really good recipe for chicken parmesan. The sauce was perfectly balanced. I will definitely make this again. Next time I might try a different type of cheese.
