Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch.
In a shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
In another shallow dish, whisk eggs. Dredge each chicken breast in the eggs, then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown. They don't need to be cooked through at this point.
Transfer chicken breasts to the prepared baking sheet. Top each with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and additional Parmesan cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly and chicken is cooked through.
Let rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil, if desired.
This chicken parmesan was absolutely delicious! It was easy to follow and the results were perfect. The chicken was juicy, the sauce was rich, and the cheese was melted to perfection. A definite crowd-pleaser!
This chicken parmesan was fantastic! Easy to follow and the results were amazing. The mozzarella melted beautifully, and the parmesan added that perfect salty finish. Will be making this again soon!
Good, classic recipe. It's hard to mess up chicken parmesan, and this recipe delivers. I used panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness. Highly recommend!
This recipe is great. Easy to follow, and the chicken turned out juicy and flavorful. The sauce was nice and rich. Highly recommend this recipe.
It was okay. I think it could use a little more flavor, but the chicken was cooked well. I would consider making this again.
