Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and sugar to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian herbs. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in heavy cream or crème fraîche into the tomato sauce. Mix well until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly. If the sauce is too thick, add some of the reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil leaves and grated Parmesan cheese. A drizzle of olive oil can be added for extra flavor.
Enjoy your delicious Creamy Tomato Pasta!
The sauce was too thin. It didn't coat the pasta well. I'm not sure what went wrong, but I won't be making this again.
Easy and delicious! I added some spinach for extra veggies. The whole family enjoyed it.
This is my go-to pasta recipe now. It's quick, easy, and everyone loves it. The creaminess is just perfect!
It was alright. Not the best creamy tomato pasta I've had, but it was easy to make and reasonably tasty.
This pasta was absolutely amazing! The sauce was so creamy and flavorful, and the basil really made it pop. My kids devoured it, which is always a win!
