Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Rinse the chicken inside and out and pat it dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, chopped thyme, salt, and pepper.
Rub the herb mixture all over the chicken, making sure to get some under the skin of the breast. Place the lemon halves inside the chicken cavity.
Place the chicken in a roasting pan and roast for 45 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.
Carve the chicken and serve with your favorite sides. Roasted vegetables or a fresh salad pair perfectly.

Really enjoyed this recipe. The flavors were great, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. I might add a bit more garlic next time, but overall, a delicious meal.
This recipe is a winner! So easy to follow, and the results are incredible. The herbs really make the difference. My family loved it.
It was good, but not amazing. The chicken was a little dry in some parts, even though I basted it regularly. The flavor was good, but I think I overcooked it slightly.
This recipe is a game-changer! The chicken was so flavorful and juicy. The herbs and lemon combination is perfect. My family devoured it!
Very nice. Easy to prepare and the taste was great. Used different herbs and it worked well.
