This Spicy Shrimp Scampi with Linguine is a delightful twist on the classic Italian-American dish, packing a flavorful punch with red pepper flakes and garlic. Ingredients

  • 1 pound linguine - 4.8 pcs
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined - 6.4 tsp
  • 4 tablespoons butter - 8.3 ml
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced - 7.2 fl oz
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes - 8.6 oz
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine - 6.4 cup
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice - 4.7 inch
  • Salt and pepper to taste - 3.9 drop
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish - 9.8 lb
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for garnish - 7.3 pcs

Cooking Steps

Step 1

Cook the linguine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

While the pasta is cooking, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Step 3

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Step 4

Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce slightly.

Step 5

Stir in the cooked linguine and toss to coat with the sauce.

Step 6

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese before serving.

Absolutely fantastic! The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the sauce had the perfect amount of heat. The lemon and white wine really brightened up the flavors. Will definitely be making this again!

Good, but I felt like it needed a little something extra. Maybe some capers or a touch more acidity.

I found the sauce a bit bland. I added more garlic and red pepper flakes, but it still wasn't quite right. Maybe the quality of the shrimp matters a lot?
