In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, chili powder, cumin, coriander, and salt. Add chicken pieces and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange marinated chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through. Alternatively, grill or pan-fry the chicken.
In a large pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook for another minute.
Add tomato puree, diced tomatoes, garam masala, cumin, coriander, and a pinch of sugar. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in heavy cream and butter. Mix well and simmer for another 5 minutes.
Add the baked/grilled chicken pieces to the sauce. Stir to coat the chicken evenly. Simmer for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve hot with naan bread or rice.
Very good overall. The spice level was perfect for me. I added a dollop of plain yogurt on top when serving for extra creaminess. A really great recipe.
This recipe is quite good, but I would recommend browning the onions a bit longer to bring out more sweetness. Otherwise, a great recipe with good flavor. I loved the balance of flavors.
I was a little disappointed. The sauce was quite watery, and the flavor wasn't very complex. I followed the recipe exactly, so I'm not sure what went wrong. The chicken was fine, but the sauce was lacking.
Excellent recipe! The depth of flavor is incredible, and the chicken is so tender and juicy. My guests were raving about it. This is definitely a restaurant-quality dish.
This recipe is a keeper! The instructions were easy to follow, and the results were fantastic. My family loved it, and it's now a regular part of our meal rotation. The aroma while it was cooking was amazing.
