In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, chili powder, cumin, coriander, and salt. Add chicken pieces and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange marinated chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through. Alternatively, grill or pan-fry the chicken.
In a large pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook for another minute.
Add tomato puree, diced tomatoes, garam masala, cumin, coriander, and a pinch of sugar. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in heavy cream and butter. Mix well and simmer for another 5 minutes.
Add the baked/grilled chicken pieces to the sauce. Stir to coat the chicken evenly. Simmer for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve hot with naan bread or rice.
A decent Chicken Tikka Masala. I found the sauce to be a little thin, even after simmering. Maybe I needed to cook it down longer. The chicken was nicely cooked.
Amazing! I've made this recipe several times now, and it always comes out perfect. The blend of spices is truly delicious, and the creamy sauce is a dream. Five stars without a doubt.
This Chicken Tikka Masala recipe is exceptional! The flavors are balanced and the textures are perfect. Every step is explained well. My new go-to recipe!
It was alright. I think I might have used too much tomato paste, because the sauce was a bit too tart. The chicken was good though. Next time I will adjust the tomatoes.
Very tasty Chicken Tikka Masala. I liked how the recipe detailed the marinating process, as that really contributed to the chicken's tenderness. I added a little bit of extra ginger and garlic. Highly recommended.
