Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar to the skillet. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in the heavy cream and chopped fresh basil. Cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat, adding a little of the reserved pasta water if needed to reach your desired consistency.
Serve immediately, garnished with extra fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese.

Good recipe, easy to follow. The sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste, but overall a good meal. I added some spinach and it worked well.
It was alright. Nothing special, but not bad either. I think it needed a bit more seasoning. The pasta was a bit overcooked as well, but the sauce was nice.
This is my new go-to pasta recipe! So easy to make and the taste is incredible. I love how fresh it is. The Parmesan cheese on top makes it perfect.
