Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Pour in crushed tomatoes and tomato paste. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring to a simmer and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in heavy cream and fresh basil. Cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add some of the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
Divide the pasta among plates and top with fresh burrata. Drizzle with olive oil and garnish with extra basil, if desired.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
It was good, but I wish the sauce had a bit more body. I think it needs to simmer longer to thicken up. Overall, a decent meal.
This is a great recipe! The burrata elevates the pasta dish to another level. Simple yet elegant. Very enjoyable.
It was okay. The flavors were nice, but it didn't really wow me. I might try a different brand of tomatoes next time to see if that improves the taste.
One of the best pasta dishes I've ever made. The creaminess of the sauce combined with the burrata is heavenly. Simple ingredients, amazing results.
It was good, but not quite as amazing as I expected. The sauce was a little too sweet for my taste. I might try adding a bit of red pepper flakes for some heat next time.
