Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Pour in crushed tomatoes and tomato paste. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring to a simmer and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in heavy cream and fresh basil. Cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add some of the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
Divide the pasta among plates and top with fresh burrata. Drizzle with olive oil and garnish with extra basil, if desired.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Simple to make and very tasty. The flavors are well-balanced. I would recommend using high-quality tomatoes for the best results. Maybe a touch more basil next time.
This pasta is divine! The burrata is the star of the show. The sauce is rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. Highly recommend making this!
