Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Pour in crushed tomatoes and tomato paste. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring to a simmer and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in heavy cream and fresh basil. Cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add some of the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
Divide the pasta among plates and top with fresh burrata. Drizzle with olive oil and garnish with extra basil, if desired.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
A very good recipe. Easy to follow and the result is a delicious pasta. I would suggest using a good quality pasta for the best experience.
A decent dish, but I found the sauce a bit bland. I think it needed more seasoning. Maybe some garlic and onion would help.
Very enjoyable. The creamy texture is spot on. I used fresh basil from my garden, and it made all the difference. A great weeknight meal.
This recipe is a winner! The simplicity is what makes it great. The burrata melts so beautifully, and the pasta is perfectly coated in the creamy sauce. Five stars!
Seriously delicious! The creaminess is incredible, and the flavors are perfect. So easy to make too. A definite keeper!
