Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Pour in crushed tomatoes and tomato paste. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring to a simmer and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in heavy cream and fresh basil. Cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add some of the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
Divide the pasta among plates and top with fresh burrata. Drizzle with olive oil and garnish with extra basil, if desired.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
This dish is a game-changer! So easy, so delicious. The burrata melts beautifully and adds the perfect creamy touch. Absolutely recommend it!
I found the sauce a bit too watery, and the flavor was not very pronounced. I followed the recipe, but it didn't turn out as expected. Disappointed.
Not a fan. The sauce was too sweet and I felt the dish lacked depth of flavor. It didn't meet my expectations. Will not make it again.
The dish was alright. I felt it needed more seasoning. Perhaps some salt and pepper during cooking. I will adjust the seasoning next time.
A very good recipe. Easy to follow and the result is a delicious pasta. I would suggest using a good quality pasta for the best experience.
