In a large bowl, season the lamb with salt, pepper, cumin, coriander, ginger, turmeric, and saffron. Toss to coat evenly.
Heat olive oil in a large Dutch oven or tagine over medium-high heat. Brown the lamb in batches, then set aside.
Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the cinnamon stick.
Return the lamb to the pot. Add the chicken broth, honey, and apricots. Bring to a simmer.
Cover and cook in a preheated oven at 325°F (160°C) for 2-2.5 hours, or until the lamb is very tender.
Stir in the chopped cilantro and parsley. Adjust seasonings as needed.
Serve hot with couscous or crusty bread.
A very flavorful and satisfying meal. The spices are well-balanced, and the apricots add a lovely sweetness. I think I'll add a little more saffron next time to enhance the color and flavor.
This is the best tagine I've ever made! The instructions were easy to follow, and the results were amazing. The sauce was so rich and flavorful. I highly recommend this recipe.
The dish was too sweet for my taste. I think the amount of honey and apricots was too much. The lamb was also a bit tough. I might try adjusting the sweetness next time.
A delicious and comforting meal. The spices create such a lovely aroma, and the lamb practically melts in your mouth. I served it with couscous and a dollop of yogurt. Perfect!
This is a restaurant-quality tagine! The flavors are rich, and the lamb is incredibly tender. The apricots add the perfect touch of sweetness. A truly exceptional dish.
