Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
In another shallow dish, whisk eggs. Dip each chicken breast in the egg mixture, then dredge in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it's fully coated.
Place breaded chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove from oven. Spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast, then top with mozzarella cheese slices.
Return to oven and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired. Serve hot over spaghetti or with your favorite side dish.
Easy to make and delicious! The chicken came out perfectly crispy. I added a little bit of oregano to the sauce, and it enhanced the flavors.
I had some trouble getting the breading to stick. It kept falling off the chicken. The sauce was a bit too sweet for me.
It was okay. The chicken was a little tough, and the sauce tasted a bit too acidic for my liking. I might try a different brand of marinara next time.
The chicken was a bit dry, and the breading wasn't as crispy as I would have liked. The sauce was decent, but nothing special.
The sauce was good, but the chicken was a little bit dry.
